Electric and water don’t mix in Bridesburg.
A heavy rain storm led to water leaking into the main electrical panel in the Bridesburg section in Philadelphia.
The home owners were concerned with the leaky panel and reached out to Lauterborn Electric for some guidance.
After receiving images of the main frayed electrical service cable, meter box and electrical panel, a new 100 AMP service was the remedy to clear the issue.
The frayed existing service cable was replaced with a new cable sleeved in PVC The meter box on the exterior that was showing signs of oxidation was also replaced.
The main electrical panel which had been taking in water for a while was upgraded with a larger 30 circuit panel.
The existing breakers were replaced with a new breaker for every existing circuit properly sized to match the new panel.
An in panel surge protector, grounding of the main electrical system and labeling of the panel also comes with a new 100 AMP service from Lauterborn Electric.
