New home buyers in the Manayunk section of the City of Philadelphia learned through an inspection report that the property of their dreams still had the original knob and tube wiring.
Once the property was purchased, they reached out to us to provide an evaluation and estimated cost to remediate the knob and tube wiring.
The tedious process included making openings on the walls and ceilings including trenching to allow for the new wiring.
All the existing wiring was terminated. Junction boxes and devices affected by the outdated wiring were removed and replaced with updated wiring and modern boxes
A 200 AMP service was also part of the scope of work to allow for new technology Arc-Ground fault breakers and capacity for future wiring.
Once all the wiring, boxes and 200 AMP service was in place, the owners hired a patching company to close up all the exposed areas.
The finished product was flawless and the new home owners are completely happy with the results.
