Our latest project has us in Center City Philadelphia for a complete rewire of a historical home. The home is from the early 1800s and the new owners have decided it is time to bring this homes electric into the 21st century.
The pictures show some of the initial work done by Lauterborn Electric. A new 200 amp service was installed to replace the old 100 amp service that had rust and corrosion all over the outdated meter socket. The main panel had to be installed a good distance away from where the service entered the building so we had to use a 200 amp outdoor main breaker meter combo load center.
Code requires that service entrance cables be disconnected by a main service disconnect, which must be located outside the building or immediately inside at the point of entry, and be readily accessible.
The other pictures show how the new wiring is being run throughout the house with holes being drilled through joists and wires installed neatly.
