Lauterborn Electric was called to the Fishtown neighborhood in Philadelphia after a new home owner wanted to have their knob and tube removed. The new home owner had an inspection report which showed almost all of the house was old knob and tube wiring.
The customer wanted to keep the vintage look the property had and just wanted the wiring updated to today’s codes. We pulled up floor boards on the second floor, which gave us the access we needed to wire the property. Smoke detectors, arc fault breakers, led lights in the basement, and a new 200 amp service were also installed.
The pictures show the finished product and also show how we ran our wiring through the basement joists. We thought the project turned out very well as did the home owner who gave us a five star review on Google.
