The City of Philadelphia has made it a requirement for all workers directly performing construction or demolition to complete OSHA 10 safety training. Lauterborn Electric recently fulfilled that requirement. Each construction company must also have an OSHA 30 supervisory employee. OSHA was created to assure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance. Clean working areas free from clutter or debris, properly secured openings on floors including guard rails to prevent falls, and safe working clearances from the edges of an elevated area are some of the conditions that OSHA brings to light to help prevent job related injuries or hazards. Images shows examples of potentially hazardous working conditions. Lauterborn Electric will continue to expand on safety practices on job sites to create a safer working environment.
