by Lauterborn Electric on July 1st, 2015

Lauterborn ElectricLauterborn Electric received a call from a new owner of a condo purchased in Northeast Philadelphia. The entire unit had been painted including all switches and receptacles. The devices were painted numerous times by the previous owners. Painting receptacles can create numerous problems. Once the paint hardens around the openings it makes it difficult to plug into. Paint fragments can go inside the device Lauterborn Electricpotentially creating overheating issues. Finally if troubleshooting is needed, removing the plate from the device becomes a challenging proposition without further damaging the device. The solution was to replace all painted devices.
