Lauterborn Electric goes to Manayunk to replace another outdated electrical service

by Lauterborn Electric on January 11th, 2013

We were called out to the Manayunk section of Philadelphia in regards to a frayed electrical service. The owners were concerned that water penetrating the cable could potentially create an electrical issue.  They searched for electricians on Google and found our web site and saw similar issues to theirs in some of our posts.  The service entrance cable needed replacing and their main electrical panel was undersized with double tapped breakers. When we removed the existing service

going through the foundation, the cable was corroded almost to the point of failure. We replaced the panel with a larger 30 circuit panel to allow for future wiring and properly grounded the electrical system including a driven ground rod. The service entrance cable was sleeved in EMT (electrical metallic tubing) to provide added protection against physical damage. At the conclusion Lauterborn Electric had yet another satisfied customer. For all of your electrical needs contact your licensed Electrician Lauterborn Electric.
